The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) today awarded Life Membership to Mr.
Rabendra Raj Pandey, during the 53rd PATA Annual Conference on Jeju.
Mr. Pandey has been actively involved in the association for 23 years. He has
provided leadership to not only the PATA Nepal Chapter and various PATA committees, but also to the nation of Nepal and its tourism industry. PATAs
newest life member has been instrumental in raising Nepals profile as a
destination and has been officially honoured by His Majesty, the King of Nepal, for
his efforts.
Today is not the first time Mr. Pandey has been formally recognised by
PATA. He received a 1999 PATA Award of Merit and was honoured twice with PATA
Chairmans Awards in 2000 and 2002.
PATA Life Membership is the Associations highest individual honour. It is
bestowed in recognition of invaluable dedication to PATA. Life Members are
champions of PATAs mission and have made tangible contributions over many
years. Life Members are chosen by the PATA Honours Committee. |
