Travel trade professionals, hoteliers and the media joined Mr. Ibrahim
Barghout, General Manager of the JW Marriott Dubai and his associates at a cocktail
reception last night to bid farewell to Mr. Jeff Strachan and welcome to Mr.
Andreas Kohn as Director of Marketing.
Mr. Strachan is leaving the JW Marriott Dubai to take up the position of Country
Director of Marketing for all Marriott properties in Kuwait, including the
recently-opened Courtyard by Marriott Kuwait City.
"During his time at the helm of our hotel's sales and marketing team the hotel
has flourished. Jeff has been instrumental in ensuring that the JW Marriott Dubai
has remained the number one business hotel in the city," said Mr. Barghout. "I
am sure that Jeff will rise to the new challenge and achieve great things in the
Kuwait market, and I know that we all wish him every success with his new role,"
he added.
Taking over from Mr. Strachan as Director of Marketing, Mr. Barghout presented
Mr. Andreas Kohn, who joins the hotel from the JW Marriott Jakarta, where he
previously held the position of Director of Marketing.
"Andreas brings with him a wealth of sales and marketing experience, having
worked in locations across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. We are glad that he
has chosen to join us here in Dubai and look forward to working with him in the
years ahead," Mr. Barghout said.
