Federal Hotels International
recently held an event to thank its valued supporters, partners and clients for their support in 2003, particularly during the
testing SARS crisis.
Utell by Pegasus (sm), a marketing and representation service from
Pegasus Solutions, received a “Top Supporter Award” for the second consecutive year from FHI. All five of the Federal Hotels International properties
are represented by the Utell by Pegasus service: the Crown Princess Kuala
Lumpur, The Federal Kuala Lumpur, Hotel Capitol Kuala Lumpur, Ferringhi Beach Hotel Penang and The Grace Hotel Sydney.
According to FHI, the spirit of cooperation between the public and private sector
has played a very important part in helping Malaysian and Singapore tourism
and hospitality industries reemerge stronger. Additionally, all concerted special
efforts and initiatives to battle the effects of SARS have contributed to its
success, including the work on the Malaysian tourism and hospitality frontline by
the federal government together with the Ministry of Culture, Arts & Tourism and
Tourism Malaysia, as well as the Singapore tourism and hospitality frontline by
the Singapore government together with the Singapore Tourism Promotion Board.
Ms. Ooi Lee Ping, assistant director of marketing, regional sales, business
development and corporate communications for Federal Hotels International,
said: “The Utell by Pegasus team are one of our top supporters and a valuable
resource, providing critical support and training to our properties. They do an
audit monthly to show us the missing revenue opportunity areas and assign a
service delivery manager to guide us. As a result, our bookings through the Utell
by Pegasus service have increased by 22 percent for Grace Hotel and nine
percent for the Malaysian properties despite a tough year. Federal Hotels
International expresses our heartiest congratulations to this year’s Top
Supporters and commends them on their achievement. To all our other valuable
supporters, partners and customers, who have contributed tremendously over
the years and in 2003, we also say a big thank you.”
Ms. Christine Tan, vice president of service delivery for the Asia-Pacific region,
said: “A business relationship is like a two-way street. Federal Hotel
International’s willingness to learn and its cooperation with our initiatives
enabled us to deliver positive results. We are thrilled to receive this award for the
second year and look forward to an even closer relationship with The Federal
Group in the future.” |
