Virgin Atlantic Airways has
launched a special two-for-one Economy Class fare deal from Sydney to Hong Kong, as part of a
campaign to promote its new daily flights between the cities from 8 December.
Until Wednesday, 20 October only, the airline is offering roundtrip
economy fares from just A$650 per person, based on two people travelling together in the new year. Taxes of approximately
A$153 are additional.
"After many years of campaigning and planning, we are finally on our way to Australia, and the new fares offer the first
opportunity for travellers to experience the Virgin Atlantic product," said the airline's Sales and Marketing Manager, Australia
and New Zealand, Gia Acitelli.
"With our new flights to Hong Kong and London due to commence on 8 December, these fares are part of our pre-launch
campaign to build public awareness of Virgin Atlantic Airways as both the newest international carrier serving Australia and the
latest and most innovative airline flying between Sydney, Hong Kong and London," said Gia Acitelli. "As our launch draws closer,
we will continue to announce initiatives for our passengers."
All passengers travelling in Economy Class on Virgin Atlantic's Airbus A340-600 aircraft will have personal video screens, and
access to the exclusive V:Port entertainment system, which includes 300 hours of audio and video programming, including latest
release movies and video games.
The
A$650 fare, plus tax, will be available for travel by two people travelling together from 27 January until 3 February, 2005, and
again from 14 February until 23 March.
