Mario Perrone, National Sales Manager for Concorde International Travel will retire
on 31 May, after 21 years in the Australian travel industry.
Mr Perrone
joined World
Aviation Systems in 1983 as Manager Victoria, and in 1987 was appointed to the
expanded role of General Manager Victoria and Tasmania for both World Aviation
and Concorde International Travel.
In 2002, when Concorde was acquired by the newly-formed Transonic Travel, Mr
Perrone was appointed to the new role of National Sales Manager for Concorde.
He will take on a consulting role to Transonic Travel from July.
The Chief Executive of Transonic Travel, Mr Peter Lacaze, said Mr Perrone had
made a major contribution not only to Concorde and to Transonic in its launch
phase, but to the Australian travel industry.
"Mario has been a prominent executive in the Australian travel industry, including
key roles at AFTA, during a period of great change," said Mr Lacaze.
"He has made a great contribution to the industry in general, and more specifically
to Concorde International, and I look forward to his continued involvement with
our company on a consultancy basis."
Current General Manager of Concorde International, Mr Russell Carstensen, will
succeed Mr Perrone as National Sales Manager. |
