New General Managers for Accor Hotels in Asia

Accor Asia Pacific has announced the following appointments at its hotels across Asia:

Mr William Pitton has been appointed General Manager of the Yokohama Novotel. William has been with Accor since 1999 as General Manager of the Sofitel Tokyo.

Mr Jan W. Marshall is new Director of Operations, Japan and general manager of Sofitel Tokyo. Jan has many years experience in the hospitality industry and joins Accor from the Nikko Bali Resort & Spa where he has been based since 2000.

Mr Mitsuo Nakahara is the new General Manager of the Novotel Koshien Osaka West. Mitsuo joined the hotel in March 2003 as Executive Managing Director. Mr Jean-Paul Fontenille has been appointed General Manager of the Mercure Hotel Ginza Tokyo. Jean-Paul has been with Accor since 1979 holding a range of positions in numerous countries including Iraq, France, Thailand, Hong Kong, Australia and China. He was most recently General Manager of the Hotel Ibis Seoul.

Mr Jerry Ip has been appointed General Manager of the Novotel Bauhinia, Shenzhen. He joined the Century Run Hua Hotel in 1997 and was most recently General Manager of the Novotel Watergate Shenzhen.

Mr Kamel Chaieb has been appointed General Manager of the Novotel Peace Beijing, China. Kamel has been with Accor since 1975 and worked in a number of countries including France, UAE, Russia, Korea, India and Indonesia. He was most recently General Manager of the Novotel Xin Hua Wuhan.

Mr Marc Cherrier has been appointed General Manager of Novotel Xin Hua Wuhan, China. Marc joined Accor in 1999 working with the Novotel Atlantis Shanghai and was most recently Resident Manager of the Sofitel Central Hua Hin Resort in Thailand.

Mr Rodney Trutwein has relocated to China as General Manager of Accor Jin Jiang Hotel Distribution Co., Ltd. He was most recently General Manager of the Novotel Phuket Resort, Thailand.

Mr Goran Alexsandrovski is the General Manager of Sofitel Magic Lagoon Resort and Spa. He relocated to Thailand in 2002 as pre-opening Manager of the Novotel Magic Lagoon and has remained at the hotel throughout its rebranding. Prior to this, Goran was pre-opening General Manager of Ibis Berlin Hotel.

Mr Ivor Rai is the new General Manager of the Novotel Phuket Resort, Thailand. Ivor joined Accor in 1995 working in several of Accor hotels in Thailand and was most recently General Manager Sales Thailand based at the Accor Bangkok office.

Mr Bruce Lee has been appointed General Manager of the Hotel Ibis Seoul, Korea. After joining Accor in 1993, Bruce held various roles at Accor hotels in Korea and was most recently Senior Assistant Manager of the Ibis Seoul.
