Hawaiian Airlines today released its monthly and year-end traffic statistics for
December and 2003, reflecting year-over-year increases in its scheduled systemwide operations for Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs), Available Seat
Miles (ASMs), Load Factor, and number of passengers served.
For December 2003, Hawaiian recorded RPMs of 518,063,769, an increase of 18
percent from 439,108,506 RPMs in December 2002. For the year, RPMs totaled
5,550,135,530, an increase of 15.5 percent from 4,804,497,713 RPMs for 2002.
Hawaiian recorded 614,848,286 ASMs in December 2003, an increase of 3.9
percent from 591,543,147 ASMs in December 2002. For the year, ASMs totaled
6,915,283,075, an increase of 10.7 percent from 6,246,127,184 ASMs in 2002.
Hawaiian’s Load Factor in December 2003 was 84.3 percent, an increase of 10.1
percentage points from 74.2 percent in December 2002. For the year, Load Factor
was 80.3 percent, an increase of 3.4 percentage points from 76.9 percent in 2002.
Hawaiian carried 481,321 passengers in scheduled operations in December
2003, an increase of 2.7 percent from 468,561 passengers for December 2002.
For the year, Hawaiian carried 5,597,407 passengers, a slight increase of 0.2
percent from the 5,587,122 passengers served in 2002. |
