A total of 1,030 EasyCheck-in kiosks are positioned throughout United terminals for E-tickets customers traveling within the United States or internationally from the U.S. United EasyCheck-in includes self-service kiosks, curbside skycap check-in and online check-in. Each month, nearly 3 million customers use EasyCheck-in kiosks, curbside or online services to obtain their boarding passes.

"Our innovative self check-in kiosks, as well as our curbside check-in service and online check-in, improve the travel experience for customers by saving them time," said Larry De Shon, senior vice president-Airport Operations. "Using airport EasyCheck-in kiosks, customers can avoid waiting in ticket counter lines, and check in and receive their boarding pass in less than one minute. Three years ago, we began introducing our new self check-in product to customers. Since then, we've continued to roll out the popular kiosks across our North America airports, while adding curbside check-in service and online check-in through united.com."

At an EasyCheck-in kiosk, customers can choose transactions in English, Spanish or French, change flights, request standby for an earlier flight, receive a new boarding pass during flight irregularities, request or change seat assignments, request or redeem an upgrade, add their Mileage Plus number to the reservation, print an E-ticket receipt, and check bags at designated kiosks.

EasyCheck-in options are part of United's suite of Easy travel services, which includes several customer-focused innovations such as:

EasyUpdate - personal flight notification system;

EasyAccess - ability to check flight schedules, book flights and more from a wireless PDA or web-enabled phone;

EasyInfo - high-graphic, gate room flight information displays at Chicago O'Hare and San Francisco airports.

"As part of our long-term customer satisfaction strategy, United has been developing and implementing a comprehensive collection of Easy products and services to save customers time and keep them informed during their travels," said De Shon. "Despite industry challenges, United continues to innovate and find new ways to serve our customers' needs using time-saving and cost-effective technology. In addition, we continue to enhance EasyCheck-in."

Next month, customers checking in at a kiosk or online will be able to enter their E-ticket number, reservation confirmation number or Mileage Plus® number to begin the check-in process, in addition to the options of using their credit, debit or Mileage Plus Premier card at the kiosk.
