Saeed Ahmed has joined the new five-star Radisson Water Garden Hotel Dhaka to
undertake the role as Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM). Saeed's career
spans 14 years, including five years at Dhaka Sheraton Hotel in senior level management
positions.
With
an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Saeed has a strong
sales & marketing background and has worked in different international and local
corporations before joining the upcoming new five-star hotel in Dhaka.
The General Manager of the Radisson Water Garden Hotel Dhaka, Ian Barrow said,
"Saeed brings his regional experience and strength in promoting and selling
hospitality services and his experience and corporate network is definitely a plus
point for a new hotel".
Most recently Saeed had been heading the marketing division of a non-banking
financial institution and as he says, "running and selling hospitality services is
always enjoyable, but it is more exciting to open a hotel". "I guess its like coming
back to my own profession with new and diversified challenges", Saeed says.
The new five-star Radisson Water Garden Hotel Dhaka, scheduled to open in late
2004, is a part of a major hotel expansion program being undertaken across Asia
Pacific by US based Carlson Hotels Worldwide. Through its regional operations,
Carlson Hotels Asia Pacific plans to expand aggressively across its three hotel
brands - Regent International Hotels, Radisson Hotels & Resorts and Country
Inns & Suites by Carlson.
The Radisson Water Garden Hotel Dhaka is situated some 5 km from the
International Airport and close by the embassy enclave. The eight-story building
features a full height atrium lobby, two banquet ballrooms, six meeting rooms, four
restaurants & two bar lounges, health club, swimming pool and the adjacent
nine-hole golf course.
The Radisson Water Garden Hotel Dhaka is being developed by Sena Hotel
Developments Ltd. (SHDL) a local joint venture between the Army Welfare Trust
and Sena Kalyan Sangstha. |
