The Fairmont Dubai
is set to rollout its new NeosTV multimedia system into all 394 guestrooms and suites. Six months in development, the hotel's
IT team has worked closely with Neos to deliver this revolutionary in-room guest
entertainment experience to their flagship Dubai property, and, with installation
already in progress, the system will be live in all rooms by end June 2004.
Neos Interactive, a leading provider of digital entertainment systems, was
selected by The Fairmont Dubai to design a product that both exceeded guest
expectations and which would be synonymous with the established hi-tech image
of the hotel. Everything from electronic artwork and coordinated music to
customised film offerings is part of the system. Using the capabilities of the latest
generation of computer equipment, this collaborative effort is designed to deliver
one of the most sophisticated in-room entertainment experiences available in the
world today.
Michael
Kaile, Vice President & General Manager for The Fairmont Dubai, said,
"What guests can now experience at The Fairmont Dubai will set the entertainment and technology standard for five-star hotels throughout the Middle
East. A Fairmont guest always demands the highest quality and the latest
innovation; and we are delighted to work with Neos to achieve this vision."
Technology Director Andrew Huzyk added, "Extensive work has been done on
both the layout and design in order to deliver personalised and customised
content that precisely meets the expressed needs, wants and aspirations of our
highly individual guests."
NeosTV is a digital, interactive information and entertainment system that delivers
true digital cinema-on-demand with DVD functionality and high-speed Internet
access through televisions. NeosTV also offers electronic guest services, web
radio, music-on-demand and other real time interactive services.
Tassos Kazinos, Chief Executive of Neos Interactive, said, "Neos is very excited
to be working with The Fairmont Dubai to deliver a state-of-the-art digital
entertainment solution that revolutionises traditional television offerings in hotels.
We will continue to work with the team to roll out new features, functions, and
services, keeping the property at the cutting edge of in-room hotel technology." |
