Hertz Australia launches Summer promotion

Travel News Asia 1 December 2004

Hertz Australia has launched a 'Hertz Hot Summer Sale' promotion, offering summer discounts to Australian holidaymakers.

These offers range from special rates for weekly rentals, to low all-inclusive rates for rentals of four days or longer, as well as inexpensive vehicle upgrades.

Between 6 January and 28 February 2005 inclusive, Hertz is offering seven days rental for the price of five. This is based on a minimum roundtrip or one-way rental of seven days and applies to daily rental charges and GST only. Service options and additional charges are not included.

Throughout the same period, as a separate stand-alone offer, Hertz is offering a Toyota Echo hatchback from as low as $37 a day in Sydney, $39 a day in Adelaide, and $40 a day in Melbourne and Brisbane. These all-inclusive prices are available on rentals of four days or more. Similar low rates are also available at many other participating locations across Australia.

As well, for just $4 more per day, it is possible to upgrade to the next size vehicle. For example, a customer in Sydney can rent a Toyota Echo for just $37 a day for a minimum of four days, or can upgrade to a four-door Nissan Pulsar manual for $41 a day, a Nissan Pulsar automatic for $45 a day, a Toyota Camry for $49 a day, or a Ford Falcon or Nissan Maxima sedan for just $53 a day. Again, these prices are available on rentals of four days or more.

These rental rates include the daily rental charge, Airport Concession Fee Recovery, Vehicle Registration Recovery, Stamp Duty and GST.

Service options and additional charges are not included in this offer.

Each of these offers from Hertz is limited and subject to availability at selected locations. Bookings can be made between 1 December 2004 and 28 February 2005. Other terms and conditions apply.
