Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts offers extra Commission to Travel Agents

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts is offering an extra 5% commission for travel agents booking its published rate concept, Value Rate, until 31 May 2004. This commission is in addition to the standard 10% offered by the group and is applicable for travel agents making Value Rate reservations at any of the group's 42 properties in Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

When paying the full room rate at any of Shangri-La's city hotels, Value Rate guests are entitled to an extensive list of complimentary benefits and privileges with no minimum stay including:

- unlimited broadband Internet access where available
- round-trip airport limousine service
- daily breakfast
- dry cleaning and laundry service
- free local calls
- late check-out at 6pm

At the group's resorts in Fiji, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore, guests paying the published rate also enjoy free benefits such as:

- buffet dinner
- non-motorised water sports
- daily breakfast
- laundry service
- free local calls
- late check-out at 6 pm

In addition, all fax and IDD calls will only be charged at cost.
