| The JAL Group's Japan Airlines and British Airways have reached agreement to
mutually expand passenger codes share flights from February 12, 2004.
From three points in Japan (Fukuoka, Osaka and Nagoya) British Airways will
have a daily code share with JAL flights to Tokyo's Narita Airport. BA will also
code share on one JAL flight daily from Narita to Seoul, Korea (Incheon).
In turn, JAL will have daily code shares on two British Airways routes between
London Heathrow and Stuttgart and Hamburg in Germany.
In 1999 JAL and British Airways undertook to form a broad agreement for
cooperation starting with linkage of their frequent flier programmes. The two
carriers have operated joint cargo flights between London and Tokyo for almost
27 years (since 1977). This is now a three flights a week operation using JAL
        B747 freighter aircraft. |
