Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings Asia (IT&CMA) Hosted Buyers and
Hosted Press will be given a chance to choose from a comprehensive selection of post-event familiarisation tours in Thailand and Vietnam.
“Thailand is a land of many amazing options for MICE professionals due to its
rich culture and varied geographic assets,” says Melinda Mak, Project Manager, IT&CMA. “From the tribal scenes, hills and jungles of the Northern
Kingdom, to the cosmopolitan and historical landmarks juxtaposed in the Central Kingdom, to the pristine beaches and islands of Southern Thailand –
our post-event familiarisation trips cover the full spectrum of activities and
sights available throughout Thailand.”
“Vietnam is a new destination offered this year and is equally intriguing to
visitors, with its own unique culture, heritage, sights and attractions.”
In fact the Vietnam tour has proved so popular with delegates attending
the IT&CMA 2003 that it has already been sold out.
10 tour options are being offered this year; an increase of 5 from the previous
year. These include tours to new destinations such as South Isarn (Thailand),
Nakornpratom (Thailand) and Vietnam, as well as dedicated tours to destinations such as Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phuket, Krabi, Hua Hin and
Kanchanaburi (all in Thailand) – which were previously offered only as a part
of larger itineraries.
The wide selection of tours caters to diverse range of audiences and also
provides options for niche interests such as eco-tourism, adventure travel,
historical and cultural immersion. Tour highlights include visits to ancient
archaeological sites dating back several centuries in I-sarn, elephant treks
through tropical forests at Hua Hin, ecological exploration in Krabi, visits to
the historically-significant River Kwai and exploration of the famous CuChi
tunnels and limestone caves in Vietnam.
“Delegates on the familiarisation trips will be staying at a sampling of
world-class hotels and they would also be able to conduct site inspections of
the MICE facilities at each destination. These, coupled with the exciting event
itineraries which play up the unique characteristics of each locale, will help
delegates appreciate the full potential of the destination for their future MICE
events – through their personal experience,” adds Ms Siti Banding, Assistant
Project Manager, IT&CMA.
IT&CMA post-event familiarisation tours are offered to Hosted Buyers and
Hosted Press at a nominal price. In addition, pre-event city day tours of
Bangkok to the Emerald Buddha Temple & Grand Palace, as well as Bangkok
waterways are also available to all delegates on 3 November 2003. |
