Dragonair has announced that services will resume to Sanya on Hainan
Island with effect from July 12. Five flights a week will be operated, departing Hong Kong every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and
Sunday.
To mark the resumption of services, Dragonair Holidays is launching a
special three-day summer package, with prices starting from just HK$1,788.
"With the summer holidays reaching their peak we believe there is
sufficient demand in the market for tropical getaway destinations such as
Sanya," said Andy Tung General Manager Marketing & Sales.
Dragonair suspended flights to Sanya in April as a result of the sudden
drop in demand following the SARS outbreak.
"It's a great place to unwind, and is only a 90-minute flight from Hong
Kong," Mr. Tung said.
The island of Hainan is known as the "Hawaii of the Orient" for its tropical
beaches with swaying palm trees and clear waters.
The Dragonair Holidays special summer package features return
Economy Class flights, two nights' accommodation at the Sheraton Resort,
Sanya, and includes breakfast, round-trip transfers between the airport and the hotel, and insurance. There is also an option for an 18-hole
round of golf at either the Yalong Bay Golf Club or the Ocean Bay Golf Club. |
