The Holiday Inn Amman, one of the four properties in Jordan managed by
the InterContinental Hotels Group, has welcomed back Ismail Hassan as
the General Manager.
Hassan, who was originally in charge of the hotel from its opening in 1998,
has for the last year been General Manager of the Holiday Inn Bur Dubai in
the UAE.
With a diploma in tourism and hotel administration from the International
Institute of Administration in Paris and a BA in Law, he began his 27-year
hotel career as a sales director in Saudi Arabia. His long association with
the Holiday Inn brand began in 1980 when he was appointed sales director
for the Holiday Inn Hotels in Jordan.
In 1986 he received his first Holiday Inn general managers posting in
Oman where he was also district director, and he has also been general manager of the Holiday Inn Bahrain and the Minhal Holiday Inn Riyadh in
Saudi Arabia. Hassan received the Holiday Inn General Manager of the Year
Award for the Middle East and Africa in 1998.
The 218-room Holiday Inn is located in western Amman, off Madina
Monawara Street, 18 luxury suites, 20 executive rooms, executive lounge and has four internationally themed restaurants, a fitness centre, and
outdoor swimming pool. There are also three meeting rooms, a business
centre, and banquet hall for up to 1,000 delegates and a shopping arcade. |
