For the top season of next summer, Finnair is going to start the
long-expected third weekly flight between Helsinki and Tokyo, thanks to the
additional flight permissions granted by the Japanese authorities.
In the Japanese market, the midsummer is a high season.
"With our new flight and with the new MD 11 that just started traffic, we will now be able to
respond to a larger demand than usual" rejoices Finnair's VP in charge for
the Network Strategy Petteri Kostermaa.
The third flight AY 075/AY076 will take place between June 16 and August 22
every Thursday from Helsinki and every Friday from Tokyo. The schedule is
similar to the flights leaving Finland on Tuesdays and Saturdays and returning from Tokyo on Wednesdays and Sundays.
The MD11 planes used on the flights will leave Helsinki at 17.20 and arrive
at Tokyo early in the following morning at 8.55. The departure of the return
flight from Tokyo will take place at 10.55, and the flight will arrive in
Helsinki in the afternoon at 15.20.
As of the beginning of June, Finnair will also start traffic to another city
in Japan, Osaka, with three weekly flights, departing from Helsinki on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and from Osaka on Thursdays,
Saturdays and Mondays. The times of departure and arrival of the flights are
similar to those of the Tokyo flights. |
