Korean Air
begins codesharing with Delta, its SkyTeam partner, on Atlanta -
Santiago route today. The two carriers will jointly operate between the
U.S. and Chile to provide additional travel opportunities to customers and to expand their cooperative efforts through their SkyTeam
network.
Delta currently operates one daily flight between the two cities. The flights
from Atlanta depart at 22:10, arriving Santiago at 9:30 the next day.
Departing flights from Santiago leave at 22:40 to arrive in
Atlanta at 6:20 the next day.
This latest codeshare agreement between the
two SkyTeam partners is expected to provide enhanced travel convenience to all Korean Air passengers traveling to Chile and vice versa.
Korean Air
used to operate Incheon - Los Angeles - Sao Paulo but the service was suspended in September 2001. Korean Air
said it plans to further cooperate with all SkyTeam carriers to expand its worldwide network by including more South
American destinations in the future. |
