The chief executives of
Star Alliance
announced Saturday the foundation of a joint company to manage the procurement of jet fuel at selected airports
around the world.
On behalf of the Chief Executives of all 15 member airlines, Yoji
Ohashi, President and CEO of ANA, describes the decision as "a further step on our
way to make use of the full potential of global collaboration. Our members'
collective wealth of experience in the field of the fuel supply will enable us to
efficiently manage the single most important raw material for our business."
"Star Alliance FuelCo" will start its operation as an American-based
company in 2004. |
