China Southern Airlines
has announced that it has promoted Jeff Ruffolo to the newly-created position of Senior Advisor - International Public Relations.
"As the PR Manager for our Los Angeles office during the past five years, Mr.
Ruffolo has been one of the lead architects of our important International
Public Relations programs and we are honored to welcome him now as part of our senior management team," said Mr. Li Kun, Vice President, China
Southern Airlines.
In his new consultation position with China Southern Airlines, Ruffolo will
advise senior airline management in all facets of International public relations as well as providing numerous publicity services to China's largest
airline, including media relations and English editing of a wide range of
company brochures and in-flight materials.
A 25-year veteran in International Public Relations, Ruffolo was an on-air
sportscaster at The 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympic Games and The 2000 Sydney Summer Olympic Games for Westwood One/CBS Radio Sports
America's #1 radio network.
Mr. Ruffolo has served on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles-based
Travel Tourism Marketing Association as President and Chairman Emeritus;
more than eight years as a on-air sportscaster for the University of Hawaii/Rainbow Sports Radio Network in Honolulu and The Big West Radio
Network in Los Angeles and is a recipient of The Douglas E. Boyden Media
Recognition Award by The United States Volleyball Association.
Additionally,
he has worked as a sportswriter for The Deseret News in Salt Lake City and The Provo Daily Herald in Provo, Utah; Marketing
Director for Heritage Mountain Ski Resort; Press Secretary for U.S.
Congressman Howard C. Nielson and served on The White House Advance Staff for U.S. President Ronald W. Reagan. Mr. Ruffolo holds a Bachelor of
Arts Degree in Journalism from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah. |
