A
new hotel in Hong Kong, The Langham Place Hotel is set to open its doors in the bustling
heart of Mongkok on July 1st next year.
The 700-room hotel, which
will have more than 50 luxurious suites,
will be the flagship of a mega 1.8 million sq. ft development that embraces the hotel. Other
components of the project, which encompasses four city blocks in total, include a mall with over 300 shops and a 60-storey A-grade office tower.
Rising 42-storeys from the heart of Kowloon, the Langham Place enjoys spectacular views over Hong Kong and Victoria
Harbour.
Langham Hotels International (LHI), carried out extensive market research
about the central Kowloon location prior to development, and is convinced
of the great potential for both the business and leisure market.
Framed by 13,000-sq. ft. of park, lakes and waterfalls, with its own dedicated
porte-cochère on Shanghai Street, the hotel is on the doorstep of Hong Kong's most famous street-markets.
"We have one of the most exciting locations in Hong Kong and will help our
guests with daily walking tours to the nearby Ladies Market, Sports Goods
Market, Bird Market and more" said Brett Butcher, General Manager of Langham Place Hotel. Mr. Butcher went on to say, "The famous 'Golden Mile'
of Nathan Road leads to Tsim Sha Tsui and the waterfront from our hotel and, being conveniently located above Mongkok MTR station, convenient
access to anywhere in Hong Kong will be effortless"
The new 15 storey mall, easily accessible from the hotel via by an
air-conditioned walk-bridge, will offer some of the best shopping in the city
that can be enjoyed in an innovative, elegant environment. Visitors to the

Hong Kong.
Named after the legendary Langham Hotel in London and aligned with the
first class strategy of LHI, Langham Place Hotel is determined to emulate the
world-class facilities and service of its celebrated namesake.

reflect polished stone floors and sumptuous hand woven carpets.
The contemporary design of the hotel's guest rooms

A glass wall between bathroom and bedroom will allow a flood of natural light
into the bathroom and the opportunity for guests to watch TV while taking a
relaxing bath. All rooms will boast free broadband access and personal safes sufficiently sized to accommodate a notebook PC with the additional
feature of allowing charging while it is safely stored.
Langham Place Hotel's premium accommodation (354 executive rooms and
52 suites) will have bathrooms with separate bath and shower, 42" flat screen
plasma televisions and three telephones, including a handy cordless phone
which can be used anywhere in the hotel. Additionally, all suites are
to be equipped with kitchens - perfect for long-stay business guests and families.

the potential of both Mongkok and Hong Kong for business travellers and leisure travellers alike. This prestigious development will become a vibrant,
chic and very new heart of 'old Hong Kong', firmly placing Mongkok on the
visitor's map." |
