Dragonair is offering 500 air tickets to any of its Taiwan destinations for
just $800 as part of the "We Love HK" campaign, a travel industry initiative
to boost Hong Kong's economy by stimulating spending. All of the 1,000 air tickets offered by the airline to Phuket for $1,000 and the 1,000 air tickets
offered to any of its China destinations for $800 have already been
claimed.
"The response to both our Phuket and China mainland offers has been
very encouraging," said Andy Tung, Dragonair's General Manager Marketing & Sales. "In order to continue our support and provide the
public with even more choice we are adding tickets to Taipei or
Kaohsiung. We hope our efforts will provide yet another boost to the local travel
industry."
To be eligible for the Taiwan ticket offer, all an individual has to do is spend
at least $1,000 at a local tour company, hotel, restaurant or retail outlet
between now and June 30, 2003, and be among the first 500 people to
obtain a voucher from Dragonair Ticketing Office at 46/F., COSCO Tower, 183 Queen's Road Central, Hong Kong from Monday to Friday at 9am to
5:30pm and 9am to 4pm on Saturday. The office will be closed on Sunday and public holidays.
The voucher should then be taken to a travel agent, where it can be
exchanged for a return ticket to either Taipei or Kaohsiung in Taiwan. The
redemption period lasts from June 9 to July 14. The cost of the ticket is
$800, while the issuing agent will charge a processing fee of $100 and collect the relevant charges. The tickets are valid for travel until August 31,
2003.
The initial $1,000 spend should include either a local tour or hotel package
sold by a registered Hong Kong Travel Industry Council agent, and a purchase at a hotel, restaurant or retail outlet in Hong Kong. |
