Dragonair
has started distributing a special SARS information kit to all passengers,
which they receive when checking in. The kit, which contains a leaflet on the
actions the airline is taking to help minimise the risk of contracting SARS, a
facemask and an alcohol swab, is designed to reassure travellers about flying with the
airline.
The leaflet also provides information on air flow within the aircraft cabin and
the high quality of cabin ventilation.
"The SARS information kit is just one of the ways in which we are informing
our customers of the steps we have taken," said Ronnie Choi, Dragonair's
General Manager Customer Services. "Aircraft have been shown to offer a safe travelling environment during the current outbreak, especially given the
enhanced measures we have implemented."
Last week the airline introduced temperature checks for all passengers
throughout its network. Checks conducted by Dragonair staff have been implemented for departing passengers at all airports where they were not
being conducted by the authorities. |
