Cheryl Yue has been appointed by Le Meridien Cyberport as Director of
Sales & Marketing taking the helm of sales & marketing and front office
teams. She will be responsible for delivering sales strategies and overseeing
the frontline operations for the 173-room hotel in Cyberport.
A Hong Kong native, Cheryl began her career with Windsurfing Association
after graduation. With a strong bonding to the hospitality industry, she
naturally made her move to hotels and has now 14-year experience, including ten years with two Shangri-La hotels in Hong Kong.

Cheryl's exceptional dedication to her profession was rewarded in 1998
when she was presented with the '30th Distinguished Salesperson Award' and 'Best Presentation Award' - the highest score from this annual open
competition held by the Hong Kong Management Association. With commitment, passion and a desire to continuous learning, Cheryl obtained a
master degree last year and she is now concentrating on learning Spanish
and Yoga.
Michael Tam joined Le Méridien Cyberport as Project Manager in 2002 and is
now taking on the new role as Human Resources Manager. Michael has extensive background in the hospitality industry. A hotel management
graduate from Oxford Brookes University in UK, Michael began his career
with the Island Shangri-La as Management Trainee, and progressed to
various management positions in the Front Office division. He also played
key roles in hotel openings and special projects in Beijing, Shenzhen and
the Philippines. Prior to joining Le Méridien Cyberport, Michael was behind
the opening of Harbour Plaza North Point as Front Office Manager and subsequently Training Manager.

Le Meridien Cyberport is due to open in December 2003 and apart from
being technologically superior to other Hong Kong hotels, will feature 42
inch plasma screen television in every room, wireless broadband connectivity, cutting edge in-room entertainment system, contemporary
walk-in rain showers and a list of innovative service initiatives. |
