The Chief Executive of the Concorde Group of Companies, Mr Peter
Lacaze, announced today a new management structure, as part of a fresh strategy to
maximise opportunities in the fast-changing travel industry.
The changes reflect the full integration of subsidiary company Metro Travel,
and the increased focus on the air fares database Concorde SmartFares, which now forms a new section, SmartFares, a division of Concorde
International Travel.
Mr Russell
Carstensen, formerly the General Manager of Metro Travel, has
been appointed General Manager, Air Tickets Wholesaling for the Concorde
Group, with responsibility for Concorde and Metro ticket wholesaling operations.
Ms Sue Notley has been appointed General Manager, Marketing for the
group, with responsibility for airline contracts, product and pricing, group
communications, retail groups and SmartFares distribution and related e-commerce activities.
Mr Rohan Moss has been reconfirmed as the General Manager of an
expanded Concorde Leisure Group, which now includes Concorde Rail Tickets and the new Italy tour operation
Italiatour!
Mr Melvyn Almeida has been reconfirmed as General Manager, World
Aviation Systems, the Concorde group's airline representation company, which continues to add new airline customers.
Mr Philip Turner has been reconfirmed as Chief Financial Officer for
the expanded Concorde Group.
Reporting to Mr Carstensen, and in addition to his role of Manager, Victoria
and Tasmania, Mr Mario Perrone also takes on expanded responsibility for
all state sales activities. Reporting to him are Mr Bernard Hughes, (Manager
NSW/ACT), Ms Andrea Williams (Manager Queensland), Mr Pasquale de Matteis (Manager South Australia), Mr Zoran Panzich (Manager WA).
Former WA Manager
Mr Richard Vaughan becomes a special consultant to
the Concorde Group with former senior executives Mr Leslie Cassar and Mr
Eddy Baldacchino.
