Air New Zealand makes further adjustments to its Hong Kong Schedule

Travel News Asia 5 May 2003

Air New Zealand announced today that the continued low level of bookings on the Hong Kong route has resulted in the airline making further adjustments to its Auckland-Hong Kong services for May and June 2003.

Air New Zealand's Wednesday services, from 7 May to 2 July inclusive, and Thursday services, from 8 May to 5 June inclusive, will be cancelled - a total of 14 return flights.

This means that for five weeks (5 May - 11 June) Air New Zealand will no longer be operating services to Hong Kong on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and for a four week period (12 June - 2 July) the airline will not operate Mondays and Wednesdays.

Air New Zealand said that customers due to fly on these cancelled services will be rebooked on the next available flight and notified of the changes to Air New Zealand's schedule by their booking agent.

Air New Zealand's international schedule normally incorporates a daily Auckland-Hong Kong service. The airline plans to return to this frequency in July 2003.
