Continental Airlines
begins daily nonstop service Thursday, 6 March, between the airline's New York hub, Newark Liberty International Airport, and
Geneva, Switzerland.
The new flight will be the only nonstop service between Liberty International
and Geneva, headquarters to a host of international agencies and multinational corporations. Continental, which operates more than 350 daily
flights at Liberty, has flown daily nonstop service to Zurich since June 1999.
Continental will operate a 174-seat Boeing 767-200 aircraft on the Geneva
route, carrying 25 customers in BusinessFirst and 149 in coach. Flight 80
will depart New York daily at 7:35 p.m., arriving in Geneva at 9:05 a.m. the
next day. The return flight, flight 81, will depart Geneva at 10:50 a.m., arriving
in New York at 1:50 p.m. the same day. Flying time will be approximately
seven and a half hours eastbound and nine hours westbound.
The new route is conveniently timed to connect at Liberty International with
an Continental's extensive network of service throughout the United States, Canada and
Latin America. |
