A six-strong delegation from Bahrain Duty Free is to attend the Middle East
Exclusive duty free exhibition being held in Dubai this December.
To be led by Maurice Burke, General Manager, Bahrain Duty Free, the
delegation will be looking to source new products for the award-winning complex.
Middle East Exclusive is being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre in
December, and Burke says, the launch of this specialised annual event underlines the importance of the duty free industry in the region. "Some of the
biggest duty free operators in the world are in the Middle East and it's good to
have the trade coming to our part of the world for a change," he said.
"We'll be on the look-out for new products suitable for the Middle East or ones
that can be adapted for the region."
To date, exhibitors from Europe the Far East, the Indian Sub-continent,
Russia, the USA and the Middle East have contracted for Middle East Exclusive, which is organised by Channels Exhibitions.
"Some of the biggest names in the industry are numbered in the exhibitor
profile," said Justin Boutros, Managing Director, Channels Exhibitions. "These include Baume & Mercier, Mont Blanc, Alfred Dunhill, Elle Travel Retail,
Damas, Habanos, Nestle, Braun, Caviar Classic, Fila and Revlon.
"But the line-up also includes new-to-market companies such as Belgium's
award-winning luxury biscuit manufacturer Jules Destrooper. As well as a
number of regionally-based companies which are looking to extend their reach within duty frees, such as Swiss Arabian Perfumes and Caviar Classic."
Middle East Exclusive is being held under the patronage of HH Sheikh
Ahmed bin Saeed al Maktoum, President, Department of Civil Aviation, Government of
Dubai and Chairman of the Emirates Group. The show is supported by Dubai
Duty Free and the Middle East Duty Free Association (MEDFA).
Associated with Middle East Exclusive is a duty free conference organised by
MEDFA for December 3 and 4 and the invitational Dubai Duty Free Golf World
Cup. |
