Six Senses Hotels, Resorts & Spas
recently announced that Christian G. Buchli has joined the group as Senior Projects Director, as of February 2003. He
will be based in the Bangkok office of Six Senses.
Christian previously worked with Bangkok’s Golden Land Property
Development as Construction Manager and Owner’s Representative for serviced apartment projects; and as Project Manager and Owner’s
Representative for the reconstruction of a 230-room resort in Fiji and renovation of the 700-room Makati Shangri-La in
Manila.
When he relocated to Asia in 1997, it was with Hong Kong & Shanghai
Hotels – owner of The Peninsula Group, to head the Technical Services and
Projects Division in Hong Kong.
Christian’s earlier projects had been in Europe where he had tenures with
Swiss Association of Engineers and Architects, and MOTCO AG in Zurich; and GRUNER AG in Basel. A two-year tenure from 1972 to 74 introduced him
the Hong Kong where he worked on the Mass Transit Railway project and an expressway under Kai Tak Airport.
In his new role at Six Senses, Christian will initially focus on a future
development of the Evason Hua Hin Resort & Spa, whilst assuming the
on-going responsibilities of his predecessor and overseeing other group
projects. |
