Today, lucky winners were selected by Thai Airways International from its
passengers on all international outbound flights from Bangkok and all domestic flights, including passengers who missed the opportunity to win
during the inflight draw from all international inbound flights. This lucky
draw event is a part of its "Luck is in the Air" campaign to promote air travel
and boost tickets sales and the tourism industry. Presiding at the lucky
draw, held at THAI's head office, was THAIs President Mr. Kanok
Abhiradee.
Mr. Abhiradee announced that the lucky draw was the first of a series for
international outbound passengers on THAI flights leaving Bangkok and all
domestic flights. Also included in the draw were passengers on all international inbound flights who missed the opportunity to win a prize
during the inflight draw starting from June 22, 2003.
One lucky draw event is being held each week over the next 15 weeks. For
this first draw, over 100,000 coupons have been collected, and 300 free tickets will be given away. Winners from all domestic flights will be given a
return ticket in economy class routed between Bangkok and one of 10 domestic destinations on THAIs routenet, namely Phuket, Trang,
Krabi, Surat Thani and Hat Yai in the south; Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and
Phitsanulok in the north; Khon Kaen and Ubon Ratchathani in the northeast.
The prize tickets are valid from 1 October - 31 December 2003.
THAI has already been awarding free tickets to lucky winners on
international inbound flights since June 22, 2003 when the campaign was first launched. One winner will be selected on board each international
inbound flight, with the prize being a free return ticket on the same class and
route as the winner has been travelling. The prize tickets are valid from 1
April - 30 June 2004. |
