HPL Hotels & Resorts appoints David Watson as Revenue Manager

HPL Hotels & Resorts, a Singapore-based hospitality management company and a wholly owned subsidiary of main-board listed Hotel Properties Limited (HPL), has appointed David Thomas Watson as Revenue Manager.

David will be responsible for unifying all departments within the nine hotels and resorts managed by HPL Hotels & Resorts, towards a common goal of hotel profit optimisation. He will introduce, develop, train and support the concept and operations of revenue management both at a unit and regional level, to maximise overall hotel revenues.

A British national, David brings with him 11 years of experience in the hotel industry, inclusive of five years in revenue management. He started his hospitality career with the Cumberland Hotel, London, taking on various roles such as front office, purchasing and stores, food and beverages, house manager and night manager. After six years, he left to join Regent Palace Hotel, London, first as its reservation manager before being promoted to revenue manager to concentrate more on revenue maximisation. Following that, he took on revenue management role with Forte PLC Group London, Le Meridien London Gatwick and finally with Le  Meridien Singapore in 2002, prior to joining HPL Hotels & Resorts.

A Mechanical Engineering graduate of U.W.I.S.T. Cardiff, David also brings  with him a background in system design and development having served four years as a system analyst with the SEMA Group, London.
