Dr Peter Senge, one of the 25 individuals to have had the greatest influence on
business strategy over the last 100 years, will hold his first seminar in the UAE
in January.
More than 300 delegates are expected to hear Senge speak at an exclusive
one-day seminar in Dubai on January 19, organised by K-Net, in partnership
with Training Networks International.
Abdulqader Al Khaja, managing director of K-Net, said: “Dr Peter Senge is one
of the biggest names in the business world, and has reaped acclaim from business journals and academics alike.
“His book, The Fifth Discipline, hit a nerve deep within the business and
education theory of learning organisations, and it has sold more than 750,000
copies since it was first published. Moreover, Harvard Business Review identified it as one of the seminal management books of the last 75 years.
“This is a landmark for everyone involved in business, from CEOs down to
middle management. But Senge’s teaching is not just about theory: he specialises in combining theory and practical experiences to achieve
workable solutions.”
The seminar has already attracted the attention of Emirates Bank International
and Shell as sponsors, and Khaja expects blue-chip companies to follow suit.
He explained: “The seminar will be a highly interactive event, with workshops
and ongoing dialogue between delegates. What’s more, Dr Senge will remain
after the programme for open discussions with those who wish to create learning initiatives within their own
organisations.”
Dr Senge’s seminar, The Learning Organisation, is the first of three leading
events for its organisers, K-Net. The Dubai-based company is also hosting a
Human Resources Conference and an E-Learning Conference in April.
K-Net is an independent training and management consultancy, and
specializes in live speaker seminars and business conferences. It provides
access to a network of international, regional and local organisations, such as
the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the Chartered Institute of Personnel
Development and the Institute of Leadership and Management. |
