Bangkok as the latest additions to the brand’s portfolio in the Asia Pacific
region. The InterContinental brand enhances the high appeal of Burswood
International Resort Casino, which attracts hundreds of thousands of domestic and inbound visitors each year.
“The introduction of iconic hotel brands such as InterContinental and Holiday
Inn is strategically important to Burswood and its competitive positioning,
increasing accommodation options for our guests,” said Burswood Managing
Director, John Schaap.
“Through our partnership with IHG, Burswood is more strongly positioned in
key markets nationally and globally, given the worldwide network and selling
power of the InterContinental Hotels Group. The partnership enables us to
leverage benefits from InterContinental Hotels Group’s strong global brands,
promotion, loyalty programs and reservation systems to boost our profile and
appeal as a corporate, convention and leisure destination,” Mr Schaap said.
Mr Lee added: “Perth is one of the key inbound gateways to the region and a
popular destination for international travellers, and we see establishing a
leadership position in Perth as a strategic element of our expansion plans. By
introducing InterContinental and Holiday Inn to the Burswood Resort complex, we can provide a complete choice to business and leisure travellers
covering mid-scale to luxury accommodation experiences.” |
