Dragonair has signed an agreement with DHL Express to launch a
dedicated express cargo delivery service between Hong Kong and Shanghai.
The overnight service, which uses a Dragonair Airbus A330-300 passenger
aircraft with a payload capacity of 22 tonnes, will begin on June 2 and operate from Tuesday to Friday from Hong Kong.
"This agreement confirms Dragonair's position as the China expert and
strengthens Hong Kong as a cargo hub," said Chief Executive Officer Stanley
Hui. "Express services require a high degree of professionalism and precision, and this deal is recognition of our capabilities."
He added: "We're also very pleased to be working with DHL and to be
opening up new services that will help in facilitating trade between these
two key business centres." |
