Philippine Airlines has resumed some of its weekly flights to Hong Kong and
Singapore in response to the gradual increase in regional traffic in the
aftermath of the SARS scare.
Starting last July 18, PAL reinstated seven weekly flights to Hong Kong -
namely PR 318 every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday; and PR306 every
Monday, Saturday and Sunday - increasing to 21 (from 14) the weekly frequencies to Hong Kong.
Beginning September 1st, PR 318 and PR 306 will be reinstated to its
original daily frequency to accommodate the volume of visitors to Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, the current daily flights to Singapore will be increased to ten
times a week beginning August 1st with the reinstatement of three additional flights
(PR 503) every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
PAL is gearing up its regional operations with innovative marketing and
promotions activities, including discounted Swingaround tour packages, as a
result of renewed confidence in air travel after the SARS scare seriously
affected all industry players. |
