JAL Group,
which includes airlines Japan Airlines, Japan Air System and JALways, today announced revised schedules on some China, Asia and Pacific resort
routes, returning some routes to service levels originally set for the summer
before falling demand resulting from the Iraq war and the SARS outbreak forced flight cuts.
JAL
is restoring flights to Beijing from Tokyo and Osaka to normal seasonal levels from mid July and from Nagoya to Beijing and Shanghai from August
1st.
Other routes where flights are being resumed for the summer holiday
season include flights to Guam from Tokyo and Nagoya and from Japan to other cities in South East Asia and Korea.
On June 1 JAL opened
customer call centers in three key Chinese cities, Beijing, Shanghai and
Hong Kong providing reservations and other information services in Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese and English.
JAL is also actively promoting tourism to China with a 'JAL NEW CHINA'
campaign, targeting younger Japanese travelers. |
