Singapore Airlines (SIA) is restructuring its services to Bandar Seri
Begawan, following the phasing-out of its remaining A310 aircraft.
From 1 June 2003, SIA will replace its planned daily A310 operation with a
five-times-weekly service, deploying B777s twice and A320s three times a
week.
The
Boeing 777 aircraft, with a capacity of 288 seats, will operate on Wednesday and
Friday, while the 142-seat Airbus 320s will be used on Monday, Saturday and
Sunday. The A320s will be leased for this service from SilkAir, SIA's subsidiary, and will be manned by SilkAir pilots and cabin crew.
The A310s, with 183 seats, will be phased out in June 2003. |
