Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts
has announced the appointment of Didier Dominique Picquot to the position of regional vice president and general
manager of the 356-room The Regent Bangkok. Picquot replaces Guy Rigby who was appointed general manager at The Pierre New York, a Four
Seasons hotel.
As regional vice president and general manager, Picquot will oversee
operations at the Bangkok property as well as sister resort, The Regent Resort Chiang Mai & Spa.

With 30 years of hotel management experience in the luxury sector, Picquot
has enjoyed being based in Canada, France, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and the United States.
His career began in 1970 with Hilton Hotels in Hong Kong where he entered
their Management Training Programme. This lead to positions as food and
beverage director at the Taipei Hilton and the Singapore Hyatt Hotel.
His North American appointments have included executive assistant
manager at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Montreal and general manager at the
Hotel Plaza de la Chaudiere in Ottawa. In 1986, Picquot joined Four Seasons
Hotels and Resorts as Manager of Hotel Le Quatre Saisons in Montreal. He
left Canada in 1989 to assume the general manager role at the Hotel Ritz in
Paris. In 1990, Picquot returned to Asia as opening general manager of the
Island Shangri-la in Hong Kong. From 1993 to 1998 Picquot also served as
vice president, operations for The Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited,
the parent company of The Peninsula Group, where he was responsible for a number of hotels in Asia and the United States.
Picquot rejoined Four Seasons in 1998 and was general manager of The
Pierre in New York prior to his current posting.
Fluent in English and French, Picquot attended L'Institut des Sciences
Politiques in Paris. He also has attended a variety of management courses
from Cornell University and the University of Guelph.
A dual citizen of France and Canada with two children, Picquot and his wife
Karin, have two grown children. They are delighted to be back in Asia. |
