China Southern Airlines
has signed a code share agreement with Dragonair (KA) for service on the Guangzhou
- Hong Kong route.
This is the ever first code-share pact between
the carriers in Mainland China
and Hong Kong after the CEPA (Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement) was signed.
According to the code share arrangement, China Southern will provide
Dragonair with two Business Class seats and 10 Economic Class seats respectively on its Guangzhou Hong Kong flights CZ301/307/304/306. All
the said seats will be sold under Dragonairs code and flight number (namely
KA1301/KA1307/KA1304/KA1306).
In addition, Dragonair, based upon its demand, may consult with China
Southern Airlines to enlarge its seats allotment. China Southern Airlines can
accept Dragonairs stand-by passengers on the code-share flights pending
seats availability without any ticket endorsement requested.
After the code-share agreement is implemented, China Southern Airlines can
recur to Dragonairs marketing network to enlarge its sales on the Guangzhou
- Hong Kong service.
All the code-share flights will connect with Dragonairs flights to and from
Taiwan, offering more convenient transit service to the passengers traveling
between the Pearl River Delta Area and Taiwan via Hong Kong.
