China Southern Airlines
has announced it is to re-launch its services from Baiyun International Airport in Guangzhou and three major cities in China to major markets throughout Southeast Asia.
"These flights had been temporarily halted due to the recent SARS outbreak
and we are pleased to 're-launch' service to these important business and
leisure destinations," said Mr. Wang Changshun, President China Southern
Airlines. He added that, "putting our network back together is much more
complicated than just putting planes on the tarmac. We are diligently and
intelligently working to bring China's largest airline back to many of the
major markets we have served for years."
Mr. Wang announced that China Southern Airlines has resumed twice
weekly service from Xiamen to Kuala Lumpur (CZ Flight # 349 & 350) and
twice weekly from Guangzhou to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (CZ Flight # 367
& 368).
In addition, starting today, China Southern Airlines will operate three weekly
flights from Shantou to Hong Kong (CZ Flight #311 & 312); twice weekly
starting July 1st from Sanya to Hong Kong (CZ Flight #3029 & 3030); twice
weekly on July 12 from Shantou to Bangkok (CZ Flight #375 & 376) and five
weekly flights starting July 14 from Guangzhou to Seoul (CZ Flight # 337 &
338). |
