The Layana Spa at Sanctuary Resorts',
The Layan Phuket has added a
full moon meditation course to its extended spa menu.
The three day full moon meditation course will be held once a month to take
full advantage of the impact of the moon's magnetic gravity on the
human body, mind and spirit. The meditation focuses on techniques to control active breathing. In addition, the course provides mental and
physical relaxation and participants will develop basic skills on which to
build further after completion of the course.
This new
course will be conducted by Master Nongnut, a
renowned Thai practitioner and teacher of various styles of meditation. Commenting on the Full Moon Meditation Course, Director of the Layana
spa, Ms. Onsiri Ruktae-Ngam states: "It is our intention to continue offering our
guests ample opportunity to experience new and ancient techniques to help balance body, mind and spirit. The Full Moon Meditation adds a new
dimension to our range of different treatments and goes beyond the usual
cosmetic aspects found in many spas"
Michel van der Hoeven, who heads the regional office of Sanctuary Resorts
adds that: "The introduction of new treatments in the Layana Spa, as well as
in spas at our other resorts is one of our new initiatives. The Full Moon
Meditation is an extension of our other new programs, for example the Masters in Residence program by the health and lifestyle author Daniel Reid,
energy therapist and detox specialist Snow and Shiatsu Master Terry
Liew. We believe that with the addition of these new components, we successfully
differentiate ourselves from the mushrooming day spas in this part of the
world, while offering a true and lasting benefit to our guests."
The introduction of the Full Moon Meditation follows the recently completed
first phase of upgrades at The Layan including a yoga/meditation room, a
second restaurant, increased beach services and deluxe rooms extended with a sunken semi-open bath tub.
Sanctuary Resorts also manages The Bale, in Bali and has started
construction on Hotel de la Paix, in Siem Reap, Cambodia and The Racha, a
deluxe villa resort development at Racha Island; just south of Phuket. |
