Dragonair
has said it will soon announce details of another massive travel-boosting
offer following Hong Kong's removal from the World Health Organisation's
list of SARS-infected areas.
"After 105 days on the SARS-infected list it's a huge relief for all of us in
Hong Kong that we are being removed from it," said Dragonair's Chief Executive Officer, Stanley Hui. "We hope that similarly good news will not be
too far off for Beijing and Taiwan."
He continued: "The success of our offer over the weekend for packages to
the mainland clearly shows the huge pent-up demand for travel there. Once
Beijing and Taiwan are removed from the SARS-infected area list we hope business will return quickly."
"We hope to reinstate up to about 80% of our normal flight schedule by
August to support market recovery efforts." |
