Malaysia Airlines is set to incorporate a "local touch" to its strategic
business plan for the growing South Asian market with the graduation of
its first batch of Indian national cabin crew personnel.
The
17 Indian national cabin crew underwent a 4-month successful training that began on 21 July 2003 at Malaysia Airlines Academy,
Kelana Jaya. Another 16 in the second batch will graduate next month. They
will all serve primarily on Malaysia Airlines' Boeing 777 and A330 flights
between Kuala Lumpur - Chennai / Delhi / Bangalore / Hyderabad / Mumbai.
Besides the 33 Indian cabin crew, Malaysia Airlines also has 63 Japanese, 20
Indonesian, 2 South African, 5 Mexican and 14 Korean cabin crew that make
up 3% of its total cabin crew strength of 4,540. |
