Continental to resume nonstop Hong Kong - New York service

Continental Airlines has announced the resumption of its nonstop service from Hong Kong to New York. Nonstop services will resume four times a week from August 3. 

"We are delighted to see that life in Hong Kong is returning to normal and that travelers are once again traveling between Hong Kong and the US. Having operated the only nonstop service from Hong Kong to New York for over two years we are pleased to play a part in reviving Hong Kong's tourist and travel industry by resuming this popular service," Mr. Mark Erwin, President and CEO, Continental Micronesia said.

"To celebrate the reinstatement of this service we are planning a variety of exciting Continental promotions and activities for the benefit of all Hong Kong - US travelers. The first of these, is a special economy fare for travelers to any US city in August for only HK$4,900. The feedback to this offer has been overwhelming and also proves the popularity of our nonstop service for the time-conscious Hong Kong market," Mr. Kenneth Yeung, Country Director Hong Kong and China, Continental Airlines said.

The nonstop service from Hong Kong to Newark will resume on August 3, departing at 11.30am and arrive in New York at 3.15pm on the same day. Services from Newark will resume on August 1, departing at 12.10pm and arrive in Hong Kong at 3.55pm the following day.

In the interim, Continental will continue to provide a Hong Kong - US service by transporting passengers through Tokyo in connection with its nonstop service between Narita and Newark or Houston.
