Australian Airlines today announced it would more than double its weekly
services from Singapore with the introduction of two new holiday destinations.
The airline is adding three weekly flights to Bali in Indonesia from 25 July
and a weekly service to Sabah in Malaysia from 30 July.
There are currently three services per week from Singapore to Cairns and on
to the Gold Coast.
Regional General Manager Asia Stephen Thompson said Singapore's
Changi Airport was an important hub for the leisure carrier.
"Singapore has certainly been part of our plans from day one and we are
pleased to announce these additional services and new travel destinations,"
Mr Thompson said.
"With seven services flying into and out of Singapore, we will be
significantly increasing capacity," he said.
"Since we began operating three services a week to Cairns in November
2002, Singaporeans have confirmed their enthusiasm for holiday destinations that are just a short hop away and embraced our fresh
approach to air travel.
"Singapore is also a hub for our European customers who can now travel to
a choice of resort destinations - Bali, Sabah, Cairns and the Gold Coast - on
Australian Airlines."
As an introductory offer, Australian Airlines is offering fares from Singapore
to Bali or Sabah for S$250 return.
Australian Airlines also flies beyond Bali to Sydney and Melbourne, beyond
Kota Kinabalu in Sabah to Sydney and beyond Cairns to the Gold Coast. |
