Jamal Hussain - New General Manager of Hard Rock Hotel Bali

Hotel Property Limited (HPL) Singapore has announced the promotion  of Mr. Jamal Hussain, a Malaysian national, as the General Manager of Hard Rock Hotel Bali.

Mr Hussain obtained a degree in Hotel & Tourism Management from Schloss Klesheim, Salzburg, Austria in 1975. He is married to a Singaporean and is the proud father of two young girls.

Previously the Acting General Manager of Hard Rock Hotel Bali, Mr. Hussain converses fluently in 5 languages., and his impressive background spans 24 years in the international hospitality arena. Previous positions include being the General Manager of  Palace of the Golden Horses, Malaysia, and Executive Assistant Manager - Food & Beverage of the legendary Peninsula Hotel, Hong Kong. He has held several senior managerial positions with Hyatt International in Taiwan, Surabaya, Jakarta, and Singapore. Before that was a ten year stint with Hilton Vienna in Austria, Europe.

Mr. Hussain was voted as Hospitality Personality Of The Year 1999 in Malaysia, by World Asia Media / Hospitality Asia, an industry magazine. He was also Chairman of Salon Culinaire, an international culinary event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1999.
