KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has sold two Boeing 747-300s, including spare
parts, to Holiday Airlines. The former PH-BUM and BUO will don the Phuket Airlines livery and operate international services out of Thailand.
Phuket Airlines is part of the same group as Holiday Airlines.
The new owners have contracted KLM Engineering & Maintenance for
engineering activities for these aircraft. KLM completed the phase-out of
its Boeing 747-300s on December 3, and is replacing them with Boeing 777-200ERs and Boeing 747-400 ER Freighters.
Three of the seven remaining 747-300s (PH-BUT, BUU, and BUV) will be
returned to the lessor. The four other aircraft are KLM-owned and are also up
for sale.
KLM
stated that British based Cabot Aviation will act as an agent in the sale of these
aircraft, as it did with the BUM and BUO. |
