Kempinski Hotels & Resorts have signed a management contract for a
deluxe five star hotel in Bangkok, re-establishing the Group’s operational
presence in Thailand.
Kempinski was founded
in Germany in 1897 and is today owned by the Crown Property Bureau of Thailand, making this announcement even more special.
The Siam
Kempinski Hotel is scheduled to open in December 2006. Contemporary Thai design and local handicrafts will complement
outstanding water features and landscape gardens to create a city resort, targeting corporate
as well as the five-star leisure market.
With a prime location in Sukhumvit, the central business district, and on the
former site of the Siam Intercontinental, the new hotel will have in excess of 300 rooms (all over 45 m²) including suites and garden cabanas.
All rooms will have walk-in dressing rooms, double-basin bathrooms, large
working desks and the highest levels of comfort and in-room technology. There will be numerous fashionable restaurants and bars, some with
adjacent private dining rooms, state of the art conference facilities and
ballroom and an extensive wellness centre with open air massage rooms.
In addition, the complex will include serviced apartments, with private
roof-top swimming pool, and will be linked to a luxury shopping development. |
