The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), as part
of its continuous efforts to make the emirate even more visitors-friendly, has
provided the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) golf buggies to allow better
accessibility and networking opportunities for the physically challenged and
senior citizens during the Gitex-2003.
Mr. Marwan bin Beyat, DTCM Manager Events, said: “By providing the golf
buggies to the Gitex-2003 organizers, we are fulfilling our commitment to
those members of the society who require our attention to enjoy the excitement of attending a mega event and explore the technological
innovations on display.”
The golf buggies will facilitate the movement of trade visitors with disabilities
as well as senior citizens within the premises during the week-long show
concluding on October 25.
He said the public facilities and tourist attractions in the emirate provide easy
accessibility to physically-challenged and senior citizens as these have been
designed keeping in mind their needs and expectations.
The department has been working with the public and private sector
organizations to continuously improve the facilities and services offered to the
visitors in order to ensure that Dubai guests enjoys the best and takes with
them memories of their wonderful experiences. |
