Mr Norris said he is delighted to welcome an executive of Vanessa's ability
to Air New Zealand's senior management team.
"Like any airline, Air New Zealand is a people-intensive organisation. With
customer service an absolute priority, it is the quality and commitment of
our people that makes the difference.
"I'm confident that Vanessa's experience in human resources and broader
management will ensure that Air New Zealand's ongoing focus and commitment
to improving its relationships with its employees will assist us to continue
growing and improving our business," said Mr Norris.
Ms Stoddart replaces Carolyn Tremain who after 13 years with Air New

"Carolyn has provided Air New Zealand with outstanding service and I am
very grateful for her assistance in ensuring a smooth transition occurs,"
